Former MediaWorks CEO Brent Impey gave the John O’ Shea Memorial address at this year’s SPADA conference. This is the text of his address.
My only connection with John O’Shea is that both of us were awarded a New Zealand Commemoration Medal in 1990- his for services to the film industry, mine for broadcasting. Who would ever have thought that both our industries would be virtually unrecognizable 20 years on; and that if we thought that change had been rapid in the last 20, it has nothing on what is coming.
