NZ filmmakers have dumped a record 137 submissions on NZFF director Bill Gosden’s desk down in the capital, while in Auckland 140 works have landed at MIC Toi Rerehiko for consideration for the Homegrown short film programmes – a 40% jump on last year’s entries.

Keeping much of the good viewing to itself for a while longer, the Festival today announced four documentary films to whet appetites – a couple of locally-made ones and a pair from further afield.
