TVNZ took a restrained approach to February’s news numbers, simply sharing the average viewing figures for news programming over the month. TV3 worked a lot harder at spinning their side of the story.
TV3’s claim that “more New Zealanders turned to Campbell Live than rival Close Up during the month of February” was backed by numbers – a total of 2,160,100 people watched Campbell Live, compared to 2,142,000 viewing Close Up.
