Indigenous artists and filmmakers exhibition at ACMI

How I See It will feature work by Amrita Hepi, Jazz Money, Joel Sherwood Spring and Jarra Karalinar Steel, among others.

ACMI has announced a forthcoming exhibition, How I See It: Blak Art and Film, that will showcase works by eight Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creatives.

‘How I See It celebrates Indigenous artists and filmmakers who help us to imagine limitless futures, unbound by limited and harmful representations that seek to define and control us,’ ten Buuren said. ‘From everyday life to the fantastical, this exhibition captures perspectives of eight exciting and distinct voices from the 1970s to now, who draw from and radically reimagine the images we have inherited and those yet to come.’
