Submissions closed earlier this month for the Homegrown Programmes in the New Zealand 2010 International Film Festival. 140 works were submitted, well up on last year’s numbers “and they all arrived in the last five minutes” according to MIC’s Paul Rose.

MIC will again curate the programme with judges Deborah Lawler-Dormer (Executive Director of MIC Toi Rerehiko), Kathryn Bennett (Group Manager of Rialto Cinemas) and Simon Marler (Executive Director of Script-To-Screen) trawling through the entries to find the gems.
