Disney Junior in Canada has taken the rights to CGI preschool series Bananas in Pyjamas from Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
The agreement covers 156 12-minute episodes from the show’s first and second seasons. Bananas in Pyjamas, which follows the adventures of two bananas, first began airing more than a decade ago.
The new animated version, produced by Southern Star Entertainment and Southern Star Singapore for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, debuted in 2011. Season one will premiere on Disney Junior in Canada onMarch 2.
