The Nine Network this week announced a new ‘Platinum Sponsorship’ deal with the Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF), less than a week after announcing a new, three-year sponsorship deal with the Western Australian Screen Academy.

Sources familiar with BIFF’s operations said Platinum Sponsorship was previously worth at least $60,000, though may have increased this year, and could be either cash or contra, or a mix of both.
