THE Broadcasting Standards Authority’s (BSA) Annual Report for 2010 hit the ether today, noting a record number of complaints for the year to 30 June, at 210. A record number of those were upheld, being 45.

News and Current Affairs were top of the complainers’ pops, accounting for 77% of all complaints laid.

In descending order of unpopularity were One News (25 complaints, 6 upheld): 3 News (18 complaints, 4 upheld); Close Up (16 complaints, 6 upheld); and Breakfast (13 complaints, 1 upheld).
