Jackbox Games has confirmed it will publish the upcoming, highly-anticipated comedy puzzler My Arms Are Longer Now, currently in development at Australian studio Toot Games.

While the US-based Jackbox Games previously only produced and published its own games, it has now confirmed it’s branching out to become a full-service games publishing label, supporting an array of games to release.

According to Jackbox’s announcement, My Arms Are Longer Now will be one of the first titles to benefit from its newly-polished internal publishing framework and ‘passionate, creative and growing team.’

For years now, the studio has gathered an audience for a variety of trivia and party titles, with each laying the foundation for the studio’s new foray.

‘Funny, creative, and hardworking people are behind everything we make at Jackbox,’ said Jackbox Games CEO Mike Bilder.

‘As we explored expanding our work into publishing, we knew that we wanted to find the right team to help us make a first impression.

‘It was clear from our first meeting with Matthew [Jackson, Co-Founder of Toot Games] and the team that Toot shares our creative priorities and ambitions for delivering distinct, unconventional styles of entertainment and play, even despite the thousands of miles that separate us.

‘Our players have asked us for a fun single-player experience in Jackbox’s tone and we look forward to seeing My Arms Are Longer Now deliver on that.’

What is My Arms Are Longer Now?

My Arms Are Longer Now looks more than set to deliver on Jackbox Games’ ambitions. This is a wacky puzzler platformer where you play as a disembodied arm, stretching through a variety of locations, looking to cause mischief.

Controlling the arm, you can determine where it reaches and how far, and you can also use ‘pincer fingers’ to pinch and grab objects. In one level that sees you roam through a train, you can use these abilities to steal cash and bikes, as well as cause fear and mayhem around you.

It’s entirely goofy, and great fun, striking a neat balance between challenging physics puzzles and absurdist scenarios.

Following in the footsteps of big games like Unpacking, Untitled Goose Game and Hollow Knight, all eyes are on My Arms Are Longer Now and its potential to be one of Australia’s next big breakout hits.
