What to know about Screen Australia’s Future Leaders Delegation
As shared, the fund is designed to ‘enable the selected delegates to connect with their peers, seek out partnerships, funding, and marketplace opportunities, develop their networks in a strategically relevant region, and understand their practice within the broader international sector.’
Importantly, successful applications will be able to exhibit their game at BitSummit 2026, as part of a dedicated Australian stand. Given BitSummit tends to draw numbers in the 30,000s, it should be an importance chance to exhibit new and upcoming games, and get real-time feedback from an audience of gaming fans, developers, and publishers.
As noted by Screen Australia, it’s also a chance for developers to network, and learn more about the global games industry, to understand more about the challenges faced, and the lessons learned.
Ahead of the event, Screen Australia will provide workshops, presentations, mentoring, and other networking opportunities for successful applicants, to ensure the trip is worthwhile and productive. The team will also be on the ground at BitSummit 2026 for further support.
