PlayStation’s latest State of Play showcase arrived jam-packed with new game announcements, updates, and surprises, with a little something for everyone. It was the biggest State of Play we’ve had in quite some time, justified by the sheer amount of reveals, from new God of War games, to a John Wick adaptation, and more.
Whether you’re still getting through your gaming backlog, or you’re looking to add new, more exciting games to your list for 2026, the State of Play certainly brought the goods.
Here are all the major game announcements from the show, and when you can expect all the newly-revealed games to arrive.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is getting a major sequel
The first trailer of the PlayStation State of Play was for Kena: Scars of Kosmora. The trailer began with Kena wandering through mysterious natural landscapes, with impressive visuals revealing a beautiful world, packed with environmental puzzles. In her new journey, Kena will face off with an array of villains, wielding her magical weapons to cleanse corruption.

Ghost of Yōtei: Legends dated for launch
Sucker Punch Productions revealed Ghost of Yōtei‘s new online co-op mode, Legends, which tasks players with taking down a clan of terrifying demons. This mode features more ‘magical’ gameplay than the rest of Ghost of Yōtei, which should add some fresh quirks.

This was followed by a trailer confirming Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is coming to PC on 19 March.
4:LOOP got a new trailer during PlayStation’s State of Play
Next up, Bad Robot Games popped in to reveal a new trailer for 4:LOOP for PS5 and PC, an online multiplayer game that tasks players with surviving an alien invasion, using various weapons and tools to thwart the ambitions of these creatures. There’s elements of Edge of Tomorrow here, as players will die again and again in their attempt to survive.
4:LOOP is in active development, and Bad Robot Games is currently looking for beta testers.
This was followed by a new trailer for Capcom’s Pragmata, a sci-fi adventure starring a space warrior and a young android taking on sinister robotic forces. This title launches for PC and consoles on 24 April.
Resident Evil Requiem will revisit the RPD headquarters
Capcom also shared a new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, putting Leon S. Kennedy and his investigative prowess in the spotlight. It also confirmed Leon will be returning to the RPD headquarters during the game.
As previously announced, Resident Evil Requiem launches for PC and consoles on 27 February.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance is being remastered
In a nice surprise for fans of the Legacy of Kain games, the PlayStation State of Play confirmed Legacy of Kain: Defiance is getting a visual overhaul and refresh that will reintroduce the game for nostalgic players, and make it more accessible for everyone else. This remaster launches on 3 March.
This was followed by a trailer for strategy-based RPG Brigandine Abyss, which is arriving in 2026.
Legacy of Kain: Ascendance announced
In addition to announcing a Legacy of Kain remaster, the State of Play also confirmed a new Legacy of Kain game is on the way. Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a new take on the franchise that features side-scrolling pixel gameplay, and visual novel-style dialogue and cutscenes. This new title launches on 31 March.
Dead or Alive 6 is getting a re-release for PS5, and a new game is in development
As announced, Dead or Alive 6 is getting a re-release for modern consoles, subtitled Last Round. It launches on 25 June 2026.
There was also a tease for a new Dead or Alive game during the State of Play. This is currently in development for PS5.
Control Resonant got a new trailer revealing more action
Next up, Remedy Entertainment popped in with a new trailer for Control Resonant revealing more about gameplay, which is a combination of over-the-shoulder shooting and using magical telekinetic abilities to explore and traverse surreal landscapes. As previously announced, this title will spotlight hero (and former Control antagonist) Dylan Faden as he takes on strange enemies.

Crimson Moon is a new swords-and-sorcery adventure
A trailer for Crimson Moon was also revealed during the PlayStation State of Play showcase. In this adventure, you’ll take on all manner of ghouls, using a sword and shield to fight. With elements of dodge-rolling and heavy hits, it looks like this will be a game for those who enjoy tough combat challenges.

Beast of Reincarnation launches in August 2026
This was followed by a new trailer for Beast of Reincarnation, the next major title from Game Freak and Fictions. It stars a young woman and her dog, working to cleanse her local environment of a dark corruption.

Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition collects different versions of the original game
Ubisoft has announced Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition, a collection featuring five different versions of the original Rayman, as well as a playable prototype. It’s designed to celebrate the titular hero, presumably as a precursor to new adventures.

Upcoming retro-inspired adventure Mina the Hollower also got a trailer during the State of Play, confirming more news is imminent.
A small trailer also confirmed Neva is getting a spin-off, titled Neva: Prologue. It launches on 19 February.
Yakoh Shinobi Ops revealed in new trailer
Next up in the PlayStation State of Play, a trailer for Yakoh Shinobi-Ops revealed a dark ninja fantasy game, where players must use stealth and other abilities to infiltrate various locations, and escape alive.
This title launches in 2027.
Project Windless is a combat epic starring a rooster hero
The PlayStation State of Play featured a trailer for Project Windless, a new fantasy adventure based on the Bird That Drinks Tears novel series. You play as a rooster hero fighting various dark forces, wielding massive blades to cut through your opponents. This game doesn’t currently have a release date.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer got a new trailer
Star Wars: Galactic Racer got a new trailer during the PlayStation State of Play for February 2026. This game is a spiritual successor to the Star Wars pod-racing game of the late 1990s, and tasks players with outrunning their opponents in high-speed pod races.

This was followed by a new look at 007: First Light, a James Bond adaptation set to launch on 27 May.
Konami revealed the next Metal Gear Solid Master Collection during the PlayStation State of Play
Konami popped in during the State of Play to confirm it will release a new Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, featuring Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. This new bundle launches on 27 August.
The studio confirmed the original Metal Gear Solid Master Collection will also be getting a refresh, offering higher-definition visuals.
This news was followed by confirmation that Darwin’s Paradox!, a Metal Gear Solid-style adventure starring a useful octopus will release on 2 April.
A new Castlevania is finally on the way
During the PlayStation State of Play, Konami also revealed a new Castlevania game is currently in development, subtitled Belmont’s Curse. Players will take the reins of a Belmont hero charting a castle filled with danger and use their wiles to explore, then take down various towering beasties, from vampires to ghouls.

Silent Hill: Townfall got a new trailer
That wasn’t all for Konami during the PlayStation State of Play! It also revealed a new trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, a new horror adventure set in a mysterious, foggy town bordered by an ocean. The lead protagonist, a man named Simon, appears to be suffering from night terrors, as he continually wakes up in the ocean, having wandered from his home.

Rev.NOiR is currently in development at Konami
The next State of play trailer was also from Konami, which appears to be swinging back after a relative period of silence. As revealed in this mysterious new trailer, it’s developing an anime-style adventure starring heroes charting a post-apocalypse, seemingly defined by multiple timelines.
Rev.NOiR doesn’t currently have a release date.
John Wick is being adapted into a major video game
Next up, it was confirmed that John Wick is getting a major video game adaptation, with Keanu Reeves reprising his role. This appears to be a major, big budget game adaptation, with cinematic cutscenes looking grand. This game doesn’t currently have a release date.
The first look at John Wick was followed by a new trailer and development showcase for Bungie’s Marathon, which is set to launch on 5 March.
New additions to PlayStation Plus
During the PlayStation State of Play, it was also confirmed that a range of new titles are coming to the PlayStation Plus subscription service in future, including:
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – 17 February
- Tekken: Dark Resurrection – March
- Time Crisis – May
- House House’s Big Walk – 2026
Saros got a new gameplay trailer during State of Play
This State of Play announcement was followed by a new look at gameplay for Saros from Housemarque, a new time-loop adventure starring a warrior who charts a shape-shifting planet filled with aliens. You will die in this adventure, over and over, but ‘death only means you come back stronger.’
Saros is currently set to launch on 30 April.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls got new trailer featuring Storm, Wolverine, and Magik
Next up, a new trailer for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls confirmed the game will feature many X-Men, including Magik, Storm, Danger, and Wolverine. As you’d expect, all of them have their own unique ability sets, with flashy skills to be deployed in battle.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches on 6 August.
The original God of War trilogy is being remade by Santa Monica Studio
Santa Monica Studio was up next in the State of Play, to reveal its next game – God of War Trilogy Remake. This game will entirely remake the original three games in the franchise, with a modern lens. TC Carson is back as the voice of Kratos, and that’s about all we know so far.
There was also an additional God of War project shown off, developed in collaboration with Mega Cat Studios, God of War: Sons of Sparta. This is a pixel adventure prequel that charts Kratos’ early days as a warrior, before he was a God.
God of Wars: Sons of Sparta is now available.
