Tickets for PAX Aus 2026 are now on sale, as preparations for the return of the annual show continue. As usual, there’s early bird pricing for the October event for those keen to get in quick, and we do expect these badges will sell out eventually.
Each year, the Melbourne show functions as a haven for local gamers and the games industry. It’s a celebration of gaming in all its forms, from the world of digital games to tabletop and beyond.

Early bird ticket packages
There are currently multiple early bird badges available, at a reduced price for a ‘limited time’. Here’s the breakdown:
- Early Bird Three-Day Badge: $185
- Early Bird Single Day Badges (Friday, Saturday or Sunday): $77
Following the conclusion of the early bird period, the prices for PAX Aus entry will be adjusted. Per the team, ‘these badges are expected to move as quickly as the majestic Ibis diving on a hot chip’.

What to expect at this year’s showcase
For those who’ve attended a PAX Aus before, you’ll likely know what to expect of the upcoming show. While there’s an aim to go bigger and better with every iteration, the spirit stays the same. It’s a three-day celebration of games and entertainment, packed with guest talks, fun panels and a show floor.
That show floor typically features game demos and early game previews, plus the opportunity to chat to developers, or spend money on merchandise, board games and accessories.

On the Saturday of PAX Aus 2025, 11 October, the entirety of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre had to be evacuated. The plenary hall alone hosts capacity for more than 5,000 people – and that’s not to mention the various upper halls, relaxation rooms, panel spaces, or the enormous wing around the main floor, all of which were absolutely packed with gaming fans during this year’s show.
Despite a sense of trepidation and anxiety around the whole thing, it all went very smoothly (and full credit to the enforcer team for evacuating everyone calmly and quickly) – and in the end, it proved exactly how strong the PAX Aus community is, and how gaming and pop culture can bring everyone together.
