At last, thinks Dr O’D, the Coalition has published its alternative version of the National Broadband Network, ending months of speculation and frustration. He has been waiting a long time to be this pungent.

‘A lemon, experts declare on Turnbull’s (broadband) plan’. (Age, 10 April 2013, p. 6.)

Maybe, but a firm, fleshy, lemon is a damn sight better than the desiccated hush of a broadband policy the Opposition took to the last election under the then Coalition communications spokesman, the even dryer Senator Nick Minchin.
