Tasmanian animation company Blue Rocket Productions’ new animation series, Pixel Pinkie, will premiere nationally tomorrow on the Nine Network and in Tasmania on WIN Television.

Pixel Pinkie, a children’s cartoon series, is the 21st century interpretation of the traditional genie tale. The story follows Nina, a tween-age girl and her adventures with an impetuous digital genie who lives in Nina’s mobile phone.
The Minister for Economic Development, Michael Aird, said that Screen Tasmania has invested $650 000 into two series of Pixel Pinkie, resulting in around $5 million of production expenditure in the Tasmanian economy.
