To learn that dirtgirlworld was a finalist in the forthcoming Australian Film Industry awards was fantastic news. But to find out the day before – almost by accident – that it had also been nominated for a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Award), came as a delightful surprise to creators/producers Cate McQuillen and Hewey Eustace of mememe productions.

Co-creator Cate McQuillen says: “Just to be nominated is an honour. To see our work recognised alongside awesome programs like The Penguins of Madagascar, SpongeBob SquarePants in the UK and that of producers like Avrill Stark here at home is very humbling especially for those of us who are still very much newbies in the industry.”
