This is certainly one of the most anticipated literary adaptions of the year. The first book in Elena Ferrante’s internationally best-selling quartet has been adapted for TV with this prestige 8-part Italian series. The story of Elena and Lila, two friends who meet as children in a poverty-stricken 1950s Naples covers 60 years of their lives as Elena tries to unravel the mystery of her best friend and sometime enemy.
