Australian producers receive the kind of attention now that many European countries cannot expect. Sales agents in England, America and Canada talk to Aussie newcomers, read scripts and put up 10 to 20 percent of the budget. Why? Because there is no language barrier–never mind the Ozzie accent now–and the consistent level of quality of Australian TV content has now been proven. The peddler find it a “very exciting time” for Australian drama.
