Two venerable institutions were set on a collision course on March 3 as the Australian Writers’ Guild launched legal proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia against Screenrights. The first clash in court will occur on April 5.

The fight is about the distribution of royalties from education and retransmission rights, and has been expected for a while. On September 9 2015 we published a comprehensive article about the whole mess, and the anger which drives it.
