ABC Cuts: beyond the desolation, the city of dreams

As the ABC holds ugly meetings with staff around Australia, Mark Scott sticks to the need for program cuts in public.

Mark Scott, CEO of the ABC, today produced a substantial announcement in response to the cuts, outlining the trimmed future and insisting the gaps will include programming.

$200m down over four years, plus the earlier cuts, four hundred jobs or 10% of the workforce – the grim news is reiterated again. At least the ABC knows where it stand.
