Directors’ Guild poised to run 2019 awards

The long wait for competitors is almost over. The ADG is selling tickets to the awards which are unveiled on Monday 6 May in Sydney. We discover an eerie co-incidence.

The Directors Guild is in a prime position to attract ace talent to open envelopes and they have taken advantage of that fact for 2019. The downside of this is that really good directors are often either working like loons here or clambering around in the Hollywood system. Ditto anyone else with a public profile.
