The AIDC session, ‘SELLING DIRECT: Strategies for a successful online film release’ was central to conference director Joost den Hartog’s vision of the program. 

Vimeo is important because it is the international VOD company which has defined itself as heroically committed to the filmmakers point of view, and to serious artistic quality. The company was not represented at a Serious Suit level, but it did send a pair of grown-up wunderkinds to bring the right edge of casual intensity.
