Death Valley Season 2 – 4 August

Series. The unlikely crime duo is making a welcomed return for Season 2 of the hit Welsh comedy-crime drama, Death Valley. Picking up months after the events of Season one, Janie, played by Gwyneth Keyworth, has been promoted to Detective Inspector and is busier than ever, with paperwork stacking up quicker than she can clear it.
To make matters worse, she’s been ignoring John, played by Timothy Spall, following an unexpected revelation. This season we will see the pair put aside their conflicting differences and work together as they’re called in to bring justice back to the mid-Wales region.

Series. This three episode, fact-based drama is about the the 2018 Novichok poisoning crisis in the UK city of Salisbury.

Documentary (2022). Covering the events relating to the infamous assassination of Alexander Litvinenko in 2006 and promising the real story of a murder inquiry and a shocking radiation health emergency.

Sterling Point – 5 August

Series. Created by Megan Park, Sterling Point is a heartfelt, coming-of-age drama led by 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin). Raised in New York City with her twin brother (Keen Ruffalo) and loving adoptive father (Jay Duplass), Annie’s life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada.
There, she finds new friends, budding romances and untold family secrets.
Beast Race – 7 August
Film (2026). In a dystopian future, Rio de Janeiro lies in ruins and has become the setting for a deadly race. What was once the ‘jogo do bicho’ (animal game) has now turned into a violent competition among runners, each representing an animal, risking their lives to compete for a cash prize that can change their lives.
However, to compete, each runner must offer another person as collateral. Only the winners recover their loved ones. The game has become a symbol of oppression for many and entertainment for the majority, who bet on their favorite runners, further widening the gap between the rich and the poor.

Ted Lasso Season 4 – 5 August

Series. Ted return to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
Starring and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Jason Sudeikis, season four welcomes the return of Emmy Award winner Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift, and introduces new cast members Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.

Director Eric Goode (Tiger King, Chimp Crazy) follows his first love, reptiles, into the dark and gonzo underworld of exotic animal smuggling. As he digs deeper, he uncovers an empire built on obsession, filled with smugglers, collectors and the animal cops trying to stop them.

Poster Boy: Becoming Zyzz – 5 August

Documentary. Premiering on the 15th anniversary of his death, Revealed – Poster Boy: Becoming Zyzz explores how internet phenomenon Australian bodybuilder Aziz ‘Zyzz’ Shavershian constructed a viral persona powerful enough to outlive him.
Featuring never-before-seen archival material, the documentary explores the circumstances of his tragic death in 2011 at just 22 years old. With testimony from those who were closest to him at the time, including Zyzz’s brother Said ‘Chestbrah’ Shavershian, Poster Boy: Becoming Zyzz is an intimate perspective on the man who sparked a cultural movement, one that shaped young men’s identities and may still resonate with young men today.

Army of Shadows – 7 August

Film (1969). Jean-Pierre Melville’s film tells the story of a group of French Resistance fighters during the Occupation. Based on Joseph Kessel’s novel and filmed with Melville’s signature style, the movie is more about what it takes to survive and the price people pay than about war itself. Lino Ventura and Simone Signoret deliver powerful performances.

The Good Ship Murder Season 3 – 7 August

Documentary. For more than four decades, the Britannia served as a floating embassy for the British Empire and a royal retreat. This documentary delves deep into the secrets of the ship and uses archive material to tell the story of the ‘power and magic’ associated with the Royal yacht. For Queen Elizabeth II, the Britannia was a beloved private retreat and, at the same time, a ship that represented a global superpower through its size and exclusive furnishings.
To this day, the 126- metre-long state ship is considered the mother of all yachts and an extraordinary style icon. The film documents the unique charisma of the Britannia which has been moored as a museum ship in Edinburgh, Scotland, since 1997.
