Yesterday, Broadcasting Minister Jonathan Coleman launched Going Digital, the public campaign to promote the switch to digital television. Focused on getting Joe Bloggs ready, the campaign promotes a website and freephone service offering information and advice.

The Government announced in September that New Zealand will make the switch region by region, beginning with Hawke’s Bay and the West Coast in September 2012 with – all going well – everybody watching digital television by November 2013.
