The King’s Speech led the pack following yesterday’s announcement of the nominees for the BAFTA film awards, picking up a dozen nominations. Other British films scoring multiple nominations included Made in Dagenham and Four Lions, with a crop of US awards favourites and winners rounding out most of the rest of the list.

The late Pete Postlethwaite is nominated for Best Supporting Actor, for his role in The Town, and although there would certainly be an emotional tug towards voting for him, it’s unlikely Welshman Christian Bale’s Golden Globe-winning performance in The Fighter will go unrecognised.
