Two Point Studios has announced a major new DLC for Two Point Museum introducing roller coasters, rides and other customisable theme park elements.
As shared, the Rides & Relics DLC will be the studio’s first forays into theme park management simulation. For years now, fans have speculated about the studio experimenting within this genre, particularly given the synergy with its other games.
After successes in Two Point Hospital, Two Point Campus and Two Point Museum, there was rampant speculation that Two Point Studios would next explore the realm of theme parks, in line with classic management games like RollerCoaster Tycoon.
Given recent DLCs for Two Point Museum have been fairly meaty, adding in hours of new gameplay, new expeditions, new collectible items and new game-changing mechanics, we do expect Rides & Relics will transform the game and allow players to really get hands-on with their personal theme park customisation.

This upcoming DLC could also lead to the next major, standalone title for Two Point Studios. After all, it has planned to continue developing games for at least the next ten years, and this would be a perfect sequel.

What to know about Two Point Museum’s Rides & Relics DLC
Here’s the official description of the Two Point Museum: Rides & Relics DLC:
‘Players will take on the role of Funfair Expert as they prepare to reopen the gates of Two Point County’s once-legendary amusement park. For years, the site at Riquetti Gardens has sat dark, rusty and guest-less – and there’s nothing amusing about that.’
‘To run a successful funfair, curators will have to carefully craft mini-coasters with custom height, tilt and camber, whilst making sure their corkscrew doesn’t spiral into any fragile artefacts. Museum assistants can be dressed to thrill as they transform into Mascots, entertaining and immersing guests as they wait to board rides and explore the park. Experts can also be sent further on expeditions to the old abandoned park of Gearbox Fairgrounds to uncover new breathtaking blueprints and perks to make this museum one hell of a ride.’
The DLC will introduce new tools to build mini-coasters, a Gearbox Fairgrounds expedition map to explore, the Riquetti Gardens museum location, a new five-star campaign, new Funfair experts, 15 Funfair exhibits to find, new gift shop items, new themed items and decorations, and more.
While retaining the spirit of Two Point Museum, the DLC will also allow for a greater scope for building in outdoor spaces, and the mini-coaster creation does appear to be an entirely new, freeform mechanic for players to experiment with.
Could Two Point Studios be creating a new roller coaster management game?
Perhaps the biggest question following the announcement of this Rides & Relics DLC is whether it will lead directly into Two Point Studios’ next major project – possibly a new roller coaster management game.
The mini-coaster building mechanic is a unique feature for Two Point Museum and one that has major potential to be re-used in a new format, possibly in a new game with looser bounds. It would certainly make sense that this system gets another translation, given the work that’s seemingly gone into making this DLC’s rollercoasters easy to build and flexible.
With Two Point Studios having a history in developing new management games that pay homage to the past, while also transforming and iterating on classic gameplay, we’re paying close attention to what comes next.
Those keen to check out Two Point Museum‘s Rides & Relics DLC won’t have to wait long. As announced, it launches for PC and consoles on 8 October.
