The boxes of these new MTG products give a fair glimpse at what to expect, with a bunch of new heroes and villains confirmed to appear in the set. This includes Hulk, Captain America (Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson), Loki, Storm, Doctor Doom, Scarlet Witch, Thanos, Iron Man, Giant-Man, Elektra and more.

MTG Marvel Super Heroes Commander Decks confirmed

Confirming earlier leaks, the four key Commander Decks for MTG Marvel Super Heroes have also been revealed:
- Loki/Doom (Blue, Black, Red) – The ‘Doom Prevails’ deck will allow players to ‘connive for power, drain life’.
- The Fantastic Four (Red, Green, White, Blue) – This deck will allow players to cast non-creature spells and play protection fields.
- Black Panther (Green, White) – The ‘Wakanda Forever’ deck allows players to power up with Artifacts, and then reign as The Monarch.
- Captain America / Nick Fury (Red, White, Blue) – The ‘Avengers Assemble’ deck will allow you to grow your ranks with heroes, then give them equipment and counters.
The four decks are all very different, with mechanics that serve their headlining hero or villain. The ‘Doom Prevails’ deck is particularly compelling here, with Doom and Loki being solid headliners, and life drain being a powerful (if somewhat annoying) mechanic.
The ‘Avengers Assemble’ set with Captain America is likely to be one of the more popular decks, if only because it seems likely to include a bunch of fan-favourite heroes and iconic Marvel power-ups.
Everything else revealed for MTG Marvel Super Heroes

Beyond the eye-catching Scene Boxes and Commander Decks, there are a bunch of other compelling new releases for the upcoming MTG Marvel Super Heroes set, including a Beginner Box that will likely be very useful for players new to the game.
Using a prior Beginner Box (for Foundations), I was able to teach my mum – a reluctant board game player – all about synergy. I expect this Marvel-themed Beginner Box will be just as useful, teaching players how to play MTG at a slow, measured pace, complete with Iron Man and Captain America to lead the way.
The new Draft Night product also gets a Marvel skin here. This particular box is great for drafting with friends, and gives you everything you need for a four-player draft, including a collector booster for a prize.
Elsewhere, you’ll also find new Jumpstart boosters, perfect for picking up and playing rounds without the need to create your own deck.
There are a bunch of new releases in the lineup, with plenty of opportunities for new and returning players to have a crack.
