Australian-made cosy MMO Loftia is officially set to release in early access for PC via Steam on 3 November.

While there has been several playtests for the game in recent months, this marks its public and open debut, with all players invited to experience its cutesy vibes and team-based gameplay.

Loftia is a game designed to be played by many players, working together to create a ‘brighter, more sustainable future,’ and to create in-game spaces where everyone can be comfortable and welcome.

What to know about Loftia’s early access release

As shared, Loftia will be released in early access so the Sydney-based team can continue to develop new features, improve stability and build on what works best, based on player feedback.

‘November 3 marks a huge milestone for us, and the beginning of an exciting new chapter!’ Qloud Games says.

‘We’re launching in Early Access because we want to continue building Loftia alongside our community. We’ll be listening closely to your feedback, improving existing systems, expanding the world, and introducing new features, stories, areas, and ways to play together over time. We have so much more we want to build, and we’re incredibly excited that from November 3 onwards, we’ll get to build that future with all of you.’

The game will launch with a robust array of features, including support for 14 languages, allowing players to experience their first taste of life in its sky-bound world. Those diving in will be able to ‘farm, craft, decorate, and explore alongside friends in a shared world that grows over time.’

Those keen to jump in as soon as possible will be able to pre-register to access Loftia on Steam, with early sign-up including additional rewards.

For those keen to see how Loftia progresses, frequent updates and blog posts will give an idea of progress, and what early reception is like.

Loftia is a game buoyed by a dream and supported by its community

ScreenHub spoke to the Loftia team earlier in 2026 about its plans to release the game, and the long journey to development. As they said, the project was incredibly ambitious at its inception, and they are now so proud of what they’ve been able to achieve.

Developers Martina Qin and Michael Su both grew up adventuring in MMOs, and these experiences fostered a long-term love for the game genre and how it can inspire teamwork and community growth.

ScreenHub: Without the cosy games community, new Aussie MMO Loftia ‘wouldn’t be here’

‘At the very beginning, it was a much smaller project in scope,’ Su said. ‘We dedicated – even though it was a fair bit – our personal savings. In the grand scheme of things, obviously, games are very expensive to make. We didn’t have a ton of resources. So, we were fully remote and found teammates to work with online through online job boards.’

‘There were a few moments when we started posting about Loftia, during the beginning, that were a really big signal to us that the world, and cosy gamers out there, really wanted a game like it,’ Qin said. ‘One of our first videos on TikTok did really well. Then we posted a video on Instagram and that just really blew up and got millions of views.’

‘It just showed how much support, and how much excitement there was for Loftia. In that moment, we [knew] we [could] really take this thing and make it come to life.’

‘[I hope] people enjoy and resonate with these last four years of hard work that we’ve poured into this project,’ Su said.

Those keen to see the results of Qloud Games’ passion and efforts won’t have to wait much longer.
