After a relatively quiet start to 2026, the pace of new game releases is picking up. This week, we’ve got a bundle of fresh adventures on the way, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch 2, and the sweet, retro-inspired Cassette Boy.

New Video Games Out This Week: 12 January to 18 January 2026
Big Hops (12 January)

To build your Airship, you’ll need to: infiltrate the Gulley Gang’s Hideout at the edge of a vast Red Desert, become a Bucko and save DrillCO’s Rigs Workers out on the Open Ocean, and sneak past Haven cultists by spelunking under a Shattered Mountain.’
Nom Nom: Cozy Forest Café (12 January)
