Bearly Brave (15 December)

Video Games Platform(s): PC

Bearly Brave is a 2D roguelike deck-building game set in a deceptively charming toy shop, where the cutest teddy bears must compete to determine their placement on the shelves – and thus their likelihood to be taken to their forever home. Hone your strategy by stacking cards, landing insane combos, and purchasing ability upgrades, all to reach new damage highs with crazy one-shot numbers!’

‘You’ll take on the role of Toby, a gentle bear forced into this brutal competition by the sadistic Boris. Mixing turn-based strategy with fast-paced deck-building, Bearly Brave challenges you to craft unique builds in Toby’s fight to escape the sinister clutches of the toy shop.’

Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return Special Edition (15 December)

Video Games Platform(s): PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2

‘Tomba is back for more in Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return Special Edition, a celebration of the often overlooked sequel to the legendary platformer, Tomba! Evil Pigs have invaded a nearby land and Tomba’s friend Tabby has disappeared without a trace! Without hesitation, Tomba leaps into the sea to find his friend and save the day!’

Tomba! 2 was first published back in 1999, and is triumphantly returning in this jam-packed Special Edition release, containing the following features: Save Anywhere! There’s no longer any need to make frequent trips to save points. Rewind! If you miss a jump or get hit, no problem, you can try again! A museum chock full of classic original packaging and manuals, advertisements, merchandise photos, previously unseen game design documents, and high resolution original artwork.’

Splitgate Arena: Reloaded (17 December)

Video Games Platform(s): PC, Xbox, PlayStation

‘The free-to-play portal shooter returns for a new era with the same DNA. No factions, no abilities, no limits. Choose the way you play – customisable loadouts or even starts – ranging from classic video games modes like Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill to party modes like Gun Game and Shotty Snipers. A completely rebuilt progression system rewards you with every match, and an overhauled Ranked system challenges the best of the best.’

Per developer 1047 Games: ‘Since entering beta in May, we’ve been listening. Splitgate has always been about the arena first, and it was clear we had more work to do to live up to that. We took the best of Splitgate 1 and Splitgate 2, cut what didn’t fit, and refined what did. In the process, we not only rebuilt the game, we reconnected with the magic of the genre that built this studio in the first place.’

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes DLC (19 December)

Video Games Platform(s): PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC

‘Play as So’lek, a Na’vi warrior who has found solace with the Sarentu. Just as peace settles over the Western Frontier, a new threat rises: the RDA, now allied with the Ash clan, who are ruthless Na’vi bent on annihilation. Ambushed and left for dead, So’lek awakens to a scorched land and his new-found family scattered. With new third-person gameplay, embark on So’lek’s journey as he vows to find his family and exact revenge on those who wronged him.’

‘Take on the fight for the Western Frontier as a powerful Na’vi warrior in an experience designed for third-person gameplay – while remaining playable at your choice in first-person. With a streamlined progression system, enhanced combat, and brutal takedown finishers, utilise stealth or go guns blazing to fight for your loved ones.’
