ANZ Indiefest is back to celebrate Australian and NZ-made games

ANZ Indiefest 2026 showcases games made in Australia and New Zealand, with new demos and discounts via Steam.

Indie games website The Indie Brew has launched its annual ANZ Indiefest on Steam, an online event that showcases new and upcoming games created in Australia and New Zealand.

Exploring the event, you’ll find an array of incoming games with attached demos, including the video store sim Video Nightz, sci-fi puzzler Schrodinger’s Cat Burglar and adventure platformer Teeto.

You’ll also be able to grab many released games on discount during ANZ Indiefest, including Conscript, Lunars, Neon Knives, Dredge and The Sacred Acorn.

Demo highlights from ANZ Indiefest 2026

This year there are some cool and very intriguing Australian and New Zealand-made indie games showcasing during ANZ Indiefest. You should make time to check out demos for the following soon-to-be-released games:

  • Video Nightz (Studio Kraze) – ‘It’s 1999 and Y2K is upon us. You are the owner of an independent video store that a corporation is eyeing off to purchase. Help your customers find the perfect video by listening to their stories and decide what the future is for your video store.’

  • Schrodinger’s Cat Burglar (Abandoned Sheep) – ‘Become entangled in a quantum puzzle adventure! Mittens gains the incredible power to be in two places at once. Explore twisted test chambers, make mischief and evade capture by a whisker!’
  • Teeto (Eat Pant Games) – ‘Explore a world of mayhem and Michaels! Join Teeto the blob and Nory the bunny in this 3D adventure platformer to stop the shadow corruption from spreading. Absorb wild powers, help eccentric characters, and save the world – one Michael at a time!’
  • How Was Your Day? (Mad Carnival) – ‘After her beloved dog Beans vanishes and 13-year-old Diya finds herself trapped in a nightmarish time loop, each day reveals darker secrets in the sleepy town of Lakeview.’
  • Rhythm Hotel (SyncArc-Studio) – ‘Rhythm Hotel is a rhythm game bursting with wildly unpredictable, absurdly hilarious storylines.’
  • Doggy Don’t Care (Rohan Nowell) – ‘Unleash adorable chaos, solve puzzles and leave your mark as a mischievous dog on the loose.’
  • Rita (SporkTank) – ‘Rita is a cosy adventure where a little chicklet solves word-based puzzles to transform the world around her. Follow her story across generations, meet her grandchicklet, and be a part of her legacy.’

  • Lone Pine (Bang Bang Bang Interactive) – ‘Lone Pine is a single-player, 2D adventure set in the fictional Lone Pine National Park. You play as Izzie, who has come to Lone Pine to try to photograph some of its mysterious, undiscovered cryptids.’
  • Slumbering Woods (Chunky Quail) – ‘Explore a wild fungal forest and cultivate it by planting mushrooms that spread and transform the land. Open new paths and help a remote village thrive.’
  • Mingle (Cookiecrayon) – ‘Mingle is a hidden object puzzle game where you move through a crowd to find your identical twin. Each match transforms you into someone new, with hundreds of chatty little characters and surprising level twists.’
  • Allogloom (Galactic Ghosty) – ‘Join Nora in this mysterious and macabre point-and-click adventure game. Find and collect items to solve puzzles. Talk to peculiar people and monsters alike.’

You can also check out several released games and while some lack demos, they present very compelling first looks.
