Apple has announced a line-up of new mobile games arriving on its Apple Arcade subscription platform from September, with many being light, family-oriented puzzlers to tickle your itch for a mental challenge.
The headliners, arriving on 3 September, are Block Blast!+ and Art of Fauna: Cosy Puzzles+, both of which offer calming, meditative gameplay where you can work through various puzzles at your own pace.
Block Blast!+ is a particularly bright inclusion, with this game being a 2025 App Store Award winner for Cultural Impact, as one of the most popular daily puzzle games of the modern era.
Sports adaptation NFL Retro Bowl ’27, the seasonal follow-up to NFL Retro Bowl ’26, is also arriving on 3 September, with this introducing a new Gauntlet Mode for more intense rounds of sport, as well as upgrades across the board.

Each artwork is paired with a fascinating description about the animal it depicts, allowing you to choose your path: relax and piece together stunning vintage drawings, or challenge yourself by reconstructing the text and learn about these magnificent animals.’
- NFL Retro Bowl ’27 – ‘When NFL Retro Bowl ’27 returns – it’s time to face The Gauntlet. An epic challenge and a new way to play, alongside returning Career Mode and Leaderboards, coming soon … Start your NFL coaching career by assembling your roster from a choice of over 2000 real-life NFL and NFLPA players.’
- Colouring Games for Families+ – ‘Unleash your family’s creativity with Colouring Games for Families+ coming to Apple Arcade. [This is] a cosy, creative space where families with little kids can relax and have fun together. With over 3,000 engaging activities, the game is packed with colouring, drawing, cooking and dress-up experiences that spark imagination for all ages.’
- Let’s Play! Oink Games+ – ‘Oink Games is a Japanese small-box board game maker with over 1.2 million units sold and growing. From simple party games that will make you laugh to challenge games that will make you think, there’s a popular board game for any situation.’
In addition, a handful of other games will also get updates in the coming weeks.
On 12 August, puffies. is getting 28 new sticker packs to collect and place. From 20 August, Simon’s Cat – Blast Time gets 200 new levels, with 50 rolling out in the following weeks. On 26 August, stitch. is celebrating a major milestone of 800 unique hoops, with a new commemorative hoop to complete.
