Apple Arcade is getting a bunch of new games in May, include one nostalgia-packed headliner that should appeal to anyone who grew up in the 1990s, Nick Jr. Replay!.

This new game is an original Apple Arcade title for iOS devices that reintroduces the classic cast of Nickelodeon while spotlighting some new faces. It’s largely for young children – with gameplay focused on an interactive playground populated by familiar characters – but older players will likely enjoy it as a trip down memory lane.

As you play, you’ll be guided by icons like Blue from Blue’s Clues, Dora from Dora the Explorer and the cast of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

That’s not all, as Apple Arcade is also getting a handful of other games in May.

Apple Arcade: all the new games coming in May

Alongside Nick Jr. Replay, Apple Arcade is getting three other games in May, charting diverse genres and styles.

All of these titles will arrive 7 May.

The first is Good Pizza, Great Pizza+, which is a story-guided pizza-making simulator with warm, cosy vibes. It’s the sort of game that lets you get carried away into a brighter world, with simple and moreish gameplay to tickle your brain.

While not exclusive to Apple Arcade, this title is a fantastic inclusion and should provide plenty of hours of good pizza-making fun.

Perchang World

The second game is Perchang World, which is a marble-rolling game that tests your skills as you travel through a variety of locations. You’ll need to ‘master the art of precision and timing as you guide balls from emitter to goal’ in each stage, using weird little gadgets and tricks to make progress.

Ultimate 8 Ball Pool+

The third game is Ultimate 8 Ball Pool+, which is a realism-focused pool simulator that lets you take part in virtual matches against live and NPC opponents.

Apple Arcade: games getting updates

In addition to the new arrivals, Apple Arcade is also introducing an array of updates for existing games in May, including fan-favourite adventure game Hello Kitty Island Adventure and the excellent Scrabble-like Disney SpellStruck.

Here’s the full rundown, courtesy of Apple:

  • ‘The climactic conclusion to the City Town storyline arrives on 16 April in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, where Hello Kitty and Usahana must team up to rescue a new friend.’
  • ‘On 23 April, the Star Wars saga continues on Disney SpellStruck. The latest update brings players all-new Adventure Mode maps inspired by Episode VI — Return of the Jedi, alongside new playable characters: fearsome bounty hunter Boba Fett and brave Ewok Wicket.’
  • ‘Out now, My Talking Angela 2+ invites players to express themselves in style as Barbie takes over in a special in-game event focused on creativity, fashion and self-expression.’

There should be plenty to get on with here, as Apple Arcade continues to add to its ever-growing games lineup.
