According to our sources, ‘The Pacific’ production office has been afflicted with a certain amount of indecision about which country it wants to work in, leading to some chaos in Melbourne crew schedules.

Late last year, The Pacific announced that it is closing early, and therefore crew will be released ahead of time.

We have heard a variety of explanations. Script can’t be rewritten until WGA strike finishes. Budget didn’t include enough allowances for rising dollar. US producers wanted to shoot climactic homecoming scenes in a real American place rather than Healesville with a couple of cardboard tanks.
