For the second week running, Nine has taken out the weekly ratings, just nudging rival Seven by a sole 1% share thanks to its powerhouse Sunday shows: News, 60 Minutes and CSI. But Seven’s shows dominated the top ten thanks to its strong Tuesday line up of Border Security, Medical Emergency and All Saints, all of which made the top ten.

Aside from Nine’s big Sunday shows, its best performers were Cold Case, 20 to One repeat (up from the dumped diet shows of 1.1m), Dancing on Ice, CSI Miami and Getaway (all 1.4m). The celebrity ice show appears to have levelled on 1.4m, the same trend that has transpired with Seven’s celebrity singing show. McLeod’s Daughters, What’s Good For You both (both 1.3m) and, in a rare result, Without A Trace (1.2m) all won their slots. In a competitive slot, the Friday night trial of Bert’s Family Feud (833,00) was less than the show it replaced the week before (Frasier 870,000) but may strategically add viewers to the 5.30pm edition, which is slowly chipping away at competitive figures against Deal or No Deal (901,000). The Today Show seems to be benefiting from the continuing Jessica soap, rising from 203,000 to 212,000 last week. But Sunrise, still a long way ahead, also rose from 373,000 to 382,000.
