Today, with no less than two Parliamentary committees, lobbyists for the sector are holding their breath in the hope that Conroy might blink. Given the stone-faced thugs on the display, this hope for physiological sponteneity may be doomed, just on principle.

It is clear from both committees, and the appearance o f the network heavy hitters, that the cross-benches are eager to barter – the very thing that Senator Conroy wants to prevent.
