A three-part documentary on filth, the story of extreme cleaning, will be made in Western Australia as part of the Secrets and Lives initiative between ScreenWest and SBS.
Society makes a mess, a lot of mess and by definition it’s pretty grim. It requires a hidden army of dedicated individuals with very strong stomachs to keep our streets habitable and clean. Filth is an insight into their lives, minds and the deeply unpleasant work they carry out. The production team from Filth have been granted unprecedented access to follow the extreme cleaners and the work they deal with.
