With both roles reporting directly to Managing Director Josh Pomeranz, the announcement comes as General Manager Adam Scott is set to leave the company in May to take up a position internationally.

Previously Head of Post Production, Armstrong will be responsible for the running of the Sydney operation, whilst continuing to oversee the seamless integration of production for clients.

Until recently Director of Post Production at Blue Post, Hollingsworth commences with Spectrum Films on Monday 8 April and will be responsible for overseeing the technical operation and workflow architecture as well as the company’s strategic growth – both in Australia and internationally.

Together Armstrong and Hollingsworth will be responsible for domestic and international business development whilst working in tandem with filmmakers and content creators to further develop and grow the company’s service and offering.

“Over the past three years, Catherine Armstrong has made an outstanding contribution to the company and this promotion is a natural progression for her – and we are delighted to have Dave Hollingsworth join the organisation whose skills and experience will complement our solid team” said Josh Pomeranz in making the announcement.

“We wish Adam the best of luck with his challenging and exciting new role, and thank him for his great initiatives and tireless work for the company,” he continued.

With over 50 productions in the past three years, Spectrum’s most recent projects include Rachel Ward’s Palm Beach, Ben Lawrence’s Hearts and Bones, Shannon Murphy’s Babyteeth, Owen Trevor’s Go!, Seth Larney’s 2067 and the feature documentary Firestarter.  Through the company’s rich history, Spectrum Films has consistently catered for the evolving needs of the industry as well as providing a creative hub for the filmmaking community.   The state of the art facilities offer refined technical services including purpose built edit suites, online picture finishing, colour grading and a custom-built sound mixing theatre as well as sound design, editing and post sound management.

Catherine Armstrong said “I am excited to lead our team of talented creatives whilst continuing to nurture our long-term client relationships. Together with Josh and Dave, I am looking forward to exploring new opportunities whilst continuing to push the boundaries of creativity in the post production sector.”

Dave Hollingsworth said “It is an absolute honour to be joining Spectrum Films. With such an amazing history and body of work, Spectrum is highly regarded as a company of quality and passion. I am looking forward to working alongside Josh and Cat and the entire Spectrum team to help to shape and grow Spectrum into the future.”
