After our entertaining Pitching event Mar 10 Metro Screen is proud to announce that the following people have been funded through the Network Production Grants.

First
Project: RED DOT. Pitcher: Tracey Savage and Pauline Findlay.
Short Film – After 13 year old Liv’s drunken mother destroys her favourite artwork, she takes off to live with her Dad, when she’s brutalised by the cyber bullies at her new school, Liv must learn to believe in her talent… or forever remain the victim.

Second
Project: THE TOMATO PLANT. Pitcher: Adrik Kemp and Zoe Bishop.
Short Film – Based on a story published in The Sleepers Almanac 2006, set in and around the ‘suicide towers’ Housing Commission flats in Redfern. It will combine live action and animation to tell the story of Maeve, a teenage single mum, isolated in the flats and fascinated by what is going on behind other people’s walls.
