MELBOURNE, September 11th 2007 – Victorian College of the Arts film student, David Norris has won the Australia national first prize of the 2007 Kodak Filmschool competition for his cinematography on ‘Wax’.

The 6?-minute short film, directed by fellow student, Virginie Tetoofa, explores the sexual awakening of lead character, James, as he assists his best friend, Beck with her waxing. Despite Beck’s pending marriage, she and James move into new territory as they realise an attraction for each other…among other things.
