Aussie short named top film at Hollywood Fest

The FTO Young Filmmakers Fund film, VEND, which got its start after winning the top prize at St Kilda Film Festival last year, has done it again. Scooped the top prize at a festival, that is.

VEND NAMED BEST FILM AT HOLLYWOOD FESTIVAL

At the Very Short Movies festival in Hollywood last weekend VEND was named not only the best film in its category – Experimental Film, but the Best of the Fest. Since its explosion onto the festival circuit a year ago VEND has surprised everyone with its ongoing success. And its impact shows no sign of abating. It has recently been invited to screen at the Expression Encorto festival in Mexico and also to take part in the “Short Film Today: Award Winning Shorts from Australia” program in New York later this year.
