Short film ‘The Cow Thief’ has just won the Grand Jury Prize for Directing at Houston Worldfest for Best Director. The award for Director Charles Williams is another in a line of awards the film has garnered over the past year after a stellar run across the globe at Seattle, Cork, St. Kilda, Toronto Worldwide, Arizona, Falls Creek, NYC Picture Start, Show Me Shorts and Slamdance among others.

The film, which stars Tom Budge, Syd Brisbane and Suzie Dee is also now eligible for next year’s Academy Awards after beating out more than two thousand other entries and winning the top prize for Best Narrative Short at Slamdance earlier this year.
