Netflix is drawing the local screen sector into its web. Here's some field notes on the evolving engagement.

Industry Netflix watchers survive on clues. Here’s a few. 

1. Netflix came to 37South in the person of Mandy Beckner who is Manager, Indie Film, which is a separate section from television. I’ve heard her presence described as a tyre-kicking exercise, but you don’t walk into a showroom unless you have some interest in the product. Netflix has also had conversations at the MIFF market which could lead to production finance. Amazon is circling too, but not in the same megafauna way.
