Youtube has become an enormous compendium of how-to videos, most of which are technically limited. But occasionally they allow us to explore the basic techniques of teaching videos.
Some educational producers like to go super naturalistic, showing audiences exactly how a technique is done. Others prefer to be more metaphorical. Here we can see a great study of realism compared directly against a fine example of method acting.
First, the realism. Use headphones if you are in an office. Or you don’t want the neighbours to call the police.
