ACMI hits the yellow brick road to visionary tomorrow

The Victorian Labor government puts almost $40m into transforming ACMI, in its last budget before an election. The redevelopment will be major, closing ACMI for nine months.

The moment when Martin Foley, the Victorian Minister for the Arts [and a lot more] took a doorstop with journalists outside ACMI this morning was unexpectedly symbolic. According to CEO Katrina Sedgwick, hordes of people were coming past to go down the rabbit hole into the Wonderland exhibition, which already has one deal with an international museum. The place is humming.
