Spurred on by SBS’s Filthy Rich and Homeless series about the horrors of the formerly wealthy made to sleep on the streets, Minister Fifield dug around in the office coffee funds and make a donation to the welfare of the television proprietors. 

‘It broke my heart to see them,’ he said in a kerbside interview on Wednesday night. ‘The Packer and Murdoch boys were huddled in a corner behind Gina Rinehart, who was protected only by a donation of possum skins from the Museum of Australia.
