There was a sad edge on Saturday at a Screen Sound Guild event at Music & Effects as we talked about the problems of being an older freelance technician. There were hushed, clipped references to the death of Jock Healey, the modest, lively sound recordist who did a lot of indy work which helped to define Melbourne.
