TVNZ yesterday announced a major restructuring of its news services. We knew it was major because the press release was headlined “Biggest Changes to TV News since Noah was a lad” or something like that.
In short, there will be new technology, fewer people operating it, those people that remain will work across multiple shows and platforms. Reporters and producers will edit their material to a greater extent before filing it.
