The ABC is the key outlet for broadcast arts. At the Australian International Documentary Conference the ABC’s Katrina Sedgwick (Head of Arts), Mandy Chang (Commissioning Editor – Arts) and Jo Chichester (Executive Producer) explained that they are seeking ‘exceptional arts films’. She said although arts can be marginal, it’s core business for the ABC. There’s certainly room for experimentation and the innovative.
