Peter Farrelly’s ‘Ricky Stanicky’ starts filming in Melbourne

Farrelly, who won Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay Oscars in 2018 for Green Book, said he was happy to be back in Australia.

Production of Ricky Stanicky has started in Victoria and is expected to inject more than $70 million into the Australian economy, says the Labor Government, with $9.5 million in support from the Government’s Location Incentive along with support from the Victorian Screen Incentive.

The project, which benefits from the Australian Government’s Location Incentive, is expected to create more than 400 jobs for local cast and crew. Minister for the Arts Tony Burke said experienced and emerging screen workers would benefit.
