Screen Australia and consultancy firm Olsberg SPI have released a new Production Infrastructure and Capacity Analysis report for the Australian screen industry, identifying challenges and opportunities facing workers in the sector in 2026 and beyond.
The final major challenge identified in the Screen Australia and Olsberg SPI report is instability in infrastructure – a lack of shared workspaces, physical facilities and overall capacity for filming. This is perhaps the most expensive issue to solve, although there are already major works in the planning stages to address this.
